Mary Matheny is President of the Anderson County Democratic Women's Club.  Dinner meetings are usually held on the fourth Thursday of the month, and usually alternate between Oak Ridge and Clinton.  Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month, and all members are invited to attend.

The Democratic Women's Club is an active and energetic group whose goals are to:

promote the interests of the Democratic Party,
inform Democratic women and Anderson Countians on matters of government and politics,
actively support the Democratic nominees in all general elections,
assist Democratic women in developing political skills and leadership roles in the Democratic Party,
encourage Democratic women to seek elective or appointive office.

Men as well as women are welcome to join.  Annual dues are $15, which covers the cost of the newsletter as well as membership dues to the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women.  If you'd like to join, just attend one of the meetings and let the President know or call her at 463-0579.
