County Redistricting Changes
Anderson County Commissioner Harold Jernigan headed the Redistricting Committee charged with redistributing the population equally among the districts in accordance with the 2000 census data and state laws. The County Commission approved a redistricting plan that retained the previous eight districts but moved the boundaries of those districts. Just as before, two commissioners and one constable will represent each district.
