State Redistricting
House Districts. Redistricting by the State Legislature in 2002 took some of the precincts in Anderson County out of the 36th District, represented by William Baird (R), and placed them in the 33rd District, represented by Jim Hackworth (D), or 38th District represented by Les Winningham (D).
The Norwood, Tri-County, Andersonville, Lake City, Lake City Middle School and Rosedale precincts in Anderson County were moved into the House 38th District, represented by Les Winningham.
The remainder of the Anderson County precincts are in the 33rd District represented by Jim Hackworth. The precincts moved into the 33rd District are North Clinton, Fairview, Clinch Valley, and Norris.
The 38th District now encompasses the cities of Oliver Springs and Lake City in Anderson County as well as all of Jackson, Clay, Pickett, and Scott counties.
The House 33rd District is only in Anderson County and now includes the cities of Norris, Clinton, and Oak Ridge.
